HACLA at 2600 Wilshire operates 3,500+ public housing units across the City of LA plus the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program serving 50,000+ households. Mothers can apply when the waitlist opens (typically every 2-3 years); HACLA also operates emergency Family Self-Sufficiency programs and a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing partnership with VA Greater LA. Applications are processed online; in-person assistance is by appointment.
