Family Promise has Illinois affiliates in DuPage, McHenry, and Lake counties (suburban Chicago) that coordinate emergency-shelter rotations among faith communities for homeless families. The model keeps mothers and children together (some traditional shelters separate teenage boys) and pairs shelter with case management. Family Promise of DuPage County and Family Promise of Lake County both have intake protocols on the national site.
